Mission Statement The Allium Collective is an urban community dedicated to activism and ethical living practices. In other words... In community, we strive to minimize our negative impact on the world (including our local community, the global community, other species, the natural environment,etc.) through what we consider to be ethical living practices such as biking, veganism and water and energy conservation. The Allium Collective lays particular emphasis on the interconnectedness of political, environmental, social and ethical concerns. We hope to link activist communities in Chicago to bring together movements that are often needlessly isolated from one another because of the all to common notion that the issues do not overlap. For example, the peace movement, the animal rights movement, and environmental groups, among others, could tremendously benefit from involvement with one another.
